Constant State of Change

I cannot handle how fast this boy changes!!! He is seriously growing like a weed. I wish he'd slow down, but all the wishing in the world can't stop babies from growing up.

In the past week-and-a-half Harrison has developed a little "stranger anxiety" and "mommy possessiveness".

When a friend came to meet him for the first time and wanted to hold him, he only lasted a couple minutes before leaning out of her lap and into mine. Once he was in my arms, he leaned his head on my chest and started acting shy. What?! This coming from my super friendly baby. I was so surprised, but it was pretty cute the way he snuggled into me ;).

And then yesterday when I went to pick him up from his buddy Landon's house he COMPLETELY FREAKED out...like sobbing uncontrollably when Landon tried playing with the buttons on my jacket. Hilary and I couldn't help but laugh. You tell him Harry! Hahaha!

On another note, my favorite new development has been his recent love for books. We've always read to him and had books around but just this week I've noticed him choosing to play with books over toys. Plus I swear I can already tell that he has a few favorites ("Moo, Baa, La La La", "The Barnyard Dance" and "Little Blue Truck" to name a few).  I mean he may be swayed by the way I read these particular books with more expression...but I think he's got good taste!

Now on to the super cute iphone photo dump. I mean seriously...could he and his best friend Landon get any cuter?!

And this last one was from our trip to the indoor playground this morning. Hilary takes the boys a lot, but since I had the day off to work on report cards (which are now DONE by the way...wahoo!) I wanted to check it out too. SO fun! Looks like I have another toy to put on our list because Harry was LOVING this one (and a few others too).

Yay for a Friday off with my baby boy, and an afternoon off (thanks to my dad) so that I could get my report cards done...AND blog! Now onto the weekend. Things I'm looking forward to:
  • Taking photos
  • Sewing
  • Going to a baby shower
  • Visiting my Grandpa
  • Taking walks
  • Drinking coffee
  • Baking scones (don't these look delish?!)
  • Exercising and relaxing...that's a good combo!
  • Reading
