New Here?

I am SO THRILLED that you've stopped by. I'm Krysta and I'd like to take a moment to welcome to my little place on the internet.

Whether you know me or not, I thought you might enjoy reading a little bit about why I blog, and what Wrapped in Delight is all about.

It all started for me in college. I discovered the blog of a "friend of a friend" and after a few months had a handful of blogs that I visited regularly. Most were moms who used their blog as a creative outlet. The first blog that I started to follow was Rebekah's. She is talented in many ways, but I really fell head over heals in love with her "Ten on Ten" project. I started participating by taking ten photos on the 10th of every month (one per hour, for ten hours). You can learn more about her project here.

Now that I was reading blogs, and taking photos for Ten on Ten, I figured I should probably start a blog myself.

Fast-forward five years (and several blogs) later, and here we are. Wrapped in Delight is the name of both my blog and my Etsy shop. I never really had a name for my blog until I came across this sweet verse in Scripture, and something about the word delight just stuck.

He led me to a place of safety; He rescued me because He delights in me.
{Psalm 18:19}

I still don't fully understand how Jesus, my PERFECT Savior can delight in sinful me, but I'm working it out with Him (thankful that I don't have to have it all figured out to be His daughter)!

So that's the story behind the name of my blog, but what exactly do I write about?

As far as what I share on my blog, it all goes back to the real reason that I started blogging in the first place: to share my life through photos and words.

Nothing has changed, and yet everything has changed along the way.

I am now a teacher (eight years in) instead of a college student. And not only a wife, but a mother to my son Harrison (and baby brother Ellis on the way). I still love taking photos, being creative, and documenting my life here. In many ways I blog because I don't have the time, patience, or a strong desire to scrapbook.

I'd love to say that my blog draws in tons of readers, is inspiring to everyone who stops by, and could become my job...but who am I kidding?

I'm just me. And this is just my little blog. But I'm so very glad you stopped by!

Let's be friends :)
